Marriage & Pre-Marital Counseling
Marriage is more than a relationship between two people. In Ephesians 5:32, the apostle Paul reveals something profound about God's design for marriage: marriage points us to the relationship between Christ and his church.
This truth shapes the way we approach marriage and pre-marital counseling at Baylight. We believe the marriage covenant is a gift from God, designed for the good of husband and wife and ultimately intended to reflect the faithful, sacrificial, and covenant love of Christ.
Whether you and your spouse are facing significant concerns that have placed your marriage under strain, or you simply want to strengthen and enrich your relationship, we are here to help. We also welcome couples who are preparing for marriage and want to establish a strong, Christ-centered foundation for their life together.
Our Approach
Joshua Waulk currently oversees Baylight's marriage and pre-marital counseling. Josh is a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, giving him access to a well-established, research-informed assessment tool designed to help couples better understand their relationship.
Prepare/Enrich provides a structured opportunity to explore important areas of your relationship, identify strengths and potential areas of growth, and foster greater understanding between you and your spouse. We integrate these insights into our broader Christ-centered, biblical approach to counseling, using them as a means of encouraging meaningful conversations and helping couples pursue growth together.
